I began my professional career over 25 years ago, practicing and teaching Internal Medicine, at a large medical center. Early experiences with my patients taught me that mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing play a major role in healing illness. I was fascinated by the interconnections between mind, body and spirit and began to explore healing paradigms beyond the confines of conventional Western Medicine.
Along the way, I began to meditate and to listen to my dreams. My interests shifted away from medical practice. I entered a Counseling Psychology program and began training in BodySoul Rhythms ® with Jungian Analyst Marion Woodman, Mary Hamilton(Dance Therapist) and Ann Skinner(Voice and Theater Teacher). After completing these programs in 2006 and 2007, I opened a psychotherapy practice combining Dreamwork with traditional psychotherapy and meditative practices and also began to offer workshops based in the expressive arts, as I had learned in BodySoul Rhythms®.
In time, I added some additional tools to my tool kit- Training with the Center for Mind-Body Medicine and becoming Certified in Zero-Balancing ® In 2012 I began working with Rodger Kamenetz, poet/author/founder of Natural Dreamwork. Our work together has been deeply healing for me and has transformed my professional practice. My individual practice is now focused on Natural Dreamwork, supplemented by general psychotherapy, mind-body skills work and Zero-Balancing.
In addition to my psychotherapy practice in Wilmette, Illinois, I work as a dream guide with individuals nationwide via phone and video conference, and serve as a mentor and teacher of Natural Dreamwork.
